Thinning scissors were created as a complement to the iconic Laguna Seca scissors model for customers looking for an advanced thinning scissors model.

Made of Japanese Vg10 Cobalt steel alloy, they guarantee incredible sharpness and durability. 
Equipped with 40 fine teeth and tapered blades, they facilitate work on fine details and are ideal for cleaning fades.

VG10 Cobalt Steel

• Carbon (C): 0.9–1.05%
• Chromium (Cr): 14.5–15.5% – responsible for corrosion resistance
• Molybdenum (Mo): 0.7–1.2% – increases strength and wear resistance
• Vanadium (V): 0.8–1.2% – creates hard carbides, improves blade durability
• Cobalt (Co): 0.2–0.5% – increases the hardenability and impact strength of steel
• Manganese (Mn) and Sieros (S): trace amounts

The addition of cobalt distinguishes VG10 from pure VG10 – it provides even better hardenability and impact strength, which translates into greater resistance of the blade to deformation.

Mechanical properties

• Hardness (HRC): 60–63
• Tensile strength and impact strength: very high, thanks to cobalt and vanadium
• Corrosion resistance: excellent – ideal for tools exposed to moisture
